Housecall Pro Pricing: Plans, Costs and Alternatives

6 min read ยท October 26, 2026

Housecall Pro pricing starts at $79 a month for 1 user on the Basic plan, or $59 a month if you pay yearly. The Essentials plan is $189 a month for 5 users, and MAX is $329 a month for 8 users. Card payments cost extra, starting at 2.59% per payment.

Prices checked October 2026. Housecall Pro can change its prices, so check the current numbers on Housecall Pro's own pricing page before you buy.

What Housecall Pro is and who it is for

Housecall Pro is field service software for home service contractors. It handles scheduling, dispatch, estimates, invoices and payments. It also offers consumer financing, so customers can pay for bigger jobs over time.

It fits small to mid-size teams of about 1 to 8 or more people. Plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians and cleaning companies use it a lot. The app works on iPhone and Android, and it comes in English and Spanish. On Capterra it has a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 2,749 reviews.

Housecall Pro plans and prices

Housecall Pro has three plans. You can pay monthly or pay for a full year. Paying yearly lowers the monthly price.

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyUsersWhat it adds
Basic$79/mo$59/mo1Online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates, invoices, payments, consumer financing, price book, job costing, review management
Essentials$189/mo$149/mo5Routes, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports, GPS tracking, commissions, QuickBooks Online sync
MAX$329/mo$299/mo8, then $35/mo per extra userSales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization, open API, dedicated onboarding specialist, faster phone support

Housecall Pro also lists AI team members on all plans. It offers a 14 day free trial of MAX, and you do not need a credit card to start it.

Housecall Pro shows intro offers for new customers. Basic and Essentials list $26 a month for the first month, and MAX lists $99 a month for the first 3 months. These offers are short and temporary. After that you pay the regular price, so budget for the regular price.

Which Housecall Pro plan fits you

If you work alone or with one helper who does not need a login, Basic covers the core work. You get booking, dispatch, estimates, invoices, payments and financing. If you have 2 to 5 people in the field, Essentials adds GPS tracking, routes and QuickBooks sync, and it costs less than paying for extra users one at a time. If you run 6 to 8 techs or sell service plans, MAX is the plan built for you. Count your logins first, then match the plan to that number.

Payment fees and other costs

Your plan price is not the whole bill if customers pay you through the app. Housecall Pro lists these payment fees.

  • Card payments start at 2.59% of each payment.
  • Bank payments cost 1%.
  • Mobile check deposit is free.

On a $1,000 job paid by card, 2.59% comes to about $26. That adds up over a busy month, so look at how your customers usually pay. Housecall Pro does not list a setup fee, and MAX includes an onboarding specialist with no fee shown.

Contracts and canceling

Housecall Pro's FAQ says it does not require long-term contracts. If you move down to a smaller plan, the change starts at the end of your current monthly or yearly period. If you pay yearly, you have paid for that year, so start with monthly billing until you are sure the software fits.

What users like and what they complain about

Housecall Pro is known as an easy app, and payments and financing are built in. Customers can book online, and the app works on iPhone and Android.

Capterra reviews also show a few common complaints.

  • Some users report bugs that get in the way of the work day.
  • Some users say invoices are hard to customize and recurring jobs are clunky.
  • Some users want more control over email features.
  • Several reviewers mention big price jumps once you pass 5 users, add-on costs and slow support replies at times.

Jobber is the closest match to Housecall Pro. Both run your schedule, quotes and invoices. We compare the two side by side in our Jobber vs Housecall Pro guide.

ServiceTitan is a bigger system built for larger shops with office staff. It does not publish prices. The per tech estimates above come from a third-party site that sells a competing product, so treat them as rough. Ask ServiceTitan for a real quote.

Topline Pro is more of a marketing tool with some job tools mixed in. It is month to month, and its prices are posted on its site.

Where Bricked Up Systems fits

Bricked Up Systems is a done-for-you growth system for contractors. For $297 a month we build and run your website, local SEO, Google Business Profile, missed-call text back, follow-up on new leads and open quotes, a lead CRM and review requests after every job. There is no contract and no setup fee.

We are not field service software. We do not do dispatching, crew job scheduling or tech routing the way Housecall Pro does. Some contractors use both. Housecall Pro runs the trucks, and Bricked Up Systems helps keep the phone ringing so those trucks stay busy.
