Hibu Reviews and Alternatives for Contractors

6 min read ยท October 26, 2026

Hibu is an all-in-one marketing company for small local businesses that sells a managed website, listings, reviews, SEO and ads through its Hibu One platform. Hibu scores well on review sites, with 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot and 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra, but the most common complaints are about hard-to-exit contracts and results that did not match the spend. Hibu does not publish prices, says contracts typically run 6 to 12 months, and charges a setup fee.

Prices checked October 2026. Hibu builds custom quotes, so confirm current pricing and terms with Hibu directly.

What Hibu is

Hibu sells a done-for-you marketing package for local businesses. Its platform, called Hibu One, covers a website, business listings, review management, email and text marketing, a shared inbox and SEO. Higher plans add managed search, display and social ads.

Hibu fits local owners who want one company to handle the website, listings and ads so they do not have to. It is built for many kinds of local businesses, so it is not only for contractors.

Hibu pricing in 2026

Hibu does not show prices on its website. It says its pricing is custom. Its plans, from smallest to largest, are Establish, Reach and Expand.

PlanMonthly priceWhat's included
EstablishNot publishedListings management, designed website, reviews, email and text marketing, universal inbox, basic SEO and AI search setup
ReachNot publishedEverything in Establish plus more SEO and AI search work, fully managed search, display and social ads, QuickBooks link, AI lead scoring
ExpandNot publishedEverything in Reach plus multi-location and geo-targeted pages, cross-channel campaigns, a dedicated Technical Campaign Manager

Capterra and GetApp list a starting price of $449 a month for Hibu One. That number does not appear on Hibu's own pricing page, so treat it as a reported figure. Hibu also says an implementation fee applies for onboarding and setup, but it does not publish the amount. Ad budgets on the Reach and Expand plans are on top of that.

What reviewers say about Hibu

Hibu has a large number of reviews, which gives you more to go on than many smaller vendors.

  • Trustpilot shows a 4.7 out of 5 score from 1,109 reviews, and 15% of those reviews are 1 star.
  • Capterra shows a 4.5 out of 5 score from 167 reviews.

Those scores tell you many customers are happy. The 15% share of 1-star reviews on Trustpilot tells you a real group of customers is not. Our source notes focus on the complaints, so we will not guess at what the happy reviewers liked most. Read a mix of 5-star and 1-star reviews from businesses like yours before you decide.

What Hibu does well

Based on Hibu's own plan details, here is where it can help a busy owner.

  • One company handles your website, listings, reviews and ads, so you have one bill and one point of contact.
  • Its plans include email and text marketing plus a universal inbox, which keeps messages in one place.
  • Its higher plans include fully managed ads, so you do not have to run Google or Facebook ads yourself.
  • Hibu says you can adjust your plan, budget and services at any time.
  • The Expand plan supports more than one location, which helps a growing company.

Common complaints and concerns

These are the complaints that showed up in the reviews and summaries we looked at. Each one is tied to its source.

  • Some 1-star reviewers on Capterra, and a Trustpilot review from October 16, 2026, describe trouble getting out of their contract and being billed after they asked to cancel.
  • Trustpilot reviews from October 19 and October 25, 2026, describe poor or no leads for the money spent.
  • GetApp's review summary mentions support that is not always consistent and pricing on the higher side.
  • Trustpilot's AI summary mentions slow website progress and poor communication.

Every big vendor has some unhappy customers, and Hibu's average scores are strong. Still, the cancel complaints are worth taking seriously. Before you sign, ask Hibu to show you in writing how long your term is, what the setup fee is, and what happens if you want to leave early.

Contract and cancel terms

Hibu says contract terms typically run from 6 to 12 months, depending on the services included. It also says you can change your plan, budget and services at any time. Changing your plan is not the same as ending your contract, so ask which one you can do and when. If your work slows down in winter, you want to know what you owe in those months.

How Bricked Up Systems compares

Bricked Up Systems is a done-for-you growth system built only for contractors and home service businesses. The core plan is $297 a month, billed every 4 weeks, with no setup fee and no contract. Most sites go live within 48 hours after you fill out one short onboarding form.

The plan includes a website with 25 to 35 pages, one for each service and town you work in, plus hosting and upkeep. We handle local SEO, Google Business Profile work, SEO blog posts and 20 to 50 directory listings. You also get missed-call text back, automated follow-up on open quotes and new leads, a CRM, a unified inbox, a tracking number and review requests after every job.

Hibu's Reach plan includes fully managed ads. With us, ads are a separate service starting at $297 a month, and you pay ad spend directly to Google or Meta. No ad spend is needed for the core plan. If you want one vendor for every type of ad across many locations, a larger package like Hibu's Expand plan may suit you better.
